Home to iconic labels including Road Studios, EMI, Capitol, and Virgin Records), UMG has responded to Covid-19 with a ‘Healing Power of Music’ initiative. It’s a curation of home concerts and music videos by artists to help keep the healing vibrations flowing throughout the world. Participating artists include Elton John, Rhianna, James Bay, Shania Twain, Katie Perry and many more.
Beyond extending assistance and further benefits to their employees, artists and songwriters, UMG is supporting MusiCares’ COVID-19 Relief Fund and Help Musicians UK as well as recruiting their artists to give their “time, energy and resources to help all those affected by the pandemic.”
UMG has always been committed to innovation and shaping culture through the power of artistry. Since March, UMG has committed to help those in need in these challenging times. They’ve also assisted artists, songwriters and independent labels to their ‘We’ve Got You Covered’ initiative to provide cloth face masks to raise money for various charities across the music community.
